INTO THE BIGGIEVERSE

The Challenge

DStv brand was facing dwindling audience attention for its famed Big Brother Naija​ reality show. Fans of the franchise in Nigeria and Africa at large were clamouring

for a fresher show format and experience. So, to take this to the next level, the 8th ​installment of BBNaija promised maximum drama with an all-star cast of previous ​housemates and winners vying for the coveted "GOAT HOUSEMATE" title. Also, this ​had been an incredibly difficult year for young Nigerians, with the growing distrust

in their government and an economy that was nosediving. So, the crucial question ​became - "how was DStv going to provide quality entertainment for Nigerians?

The Solution

Our launch concept stemmed from a growing trend which we found

in movies and pop culture in general - THE MULTIVERSE. We tapped

into the growing interest in the subject and linked this to this season's ​format of bringing back contestants from different past seasons.

From our teasers down to the final winner visual and everything in ​between, we created a visually striking portal using the iconic Big Brother ​eye as its central design element. THE BIGGIEVERSE concept hinted at

a multiverse of possibilities, but also served as a subtle foreshadowing

of the dramatic twists and turns to come. Across social media,

we leveraged the show’s fandoms and generated anticipation for the ​return of their faves.The success of this edition was a testament to ​innovative storytelling and audience engagement.
